Aussie CCTV Cams

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 August 2026

These terms apply to all quotes, installations, repairs and maintenance supplied by Aussie CCTV Cams Pty Ltd across New South Wales and South Australia. By accepting a quote or booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.

  1. 01About these terms

Aussie CCTV Cams Pty Ltd (we, us, our) provides security camera, CCTV, alarm, intercom and related installation services from our head office at 30 Pearson St, Charlestown NSW 2290 and our Adelaide, South Australia location.

If anything in a written quote conflicts with these terms, the written quote wins for that job. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

  2. 02Quotes and pricing

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and include the equipment and labour described in them. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise.

If the job changes — for example you ask for extra cameras, or we discover concealed wiring, asbestos or access issues that could not reasonably be seen at quote time — we will explain the variation and get your approval before doing the extra work.

  3. 03Bookings, deposits and payment

A deposit may be required to order equipment and secure your installation date. The balance is payable on completion of the job, before we leave site, using the payment methods listed on your invoice.

If payment is late, we may charge reasonable costs of recovery. Equipment remains our property until paid for in full.

  4. 04Site access and your responsibilities

To install your system safely and on time, we need you to:

    • Provide safe, clear access to the areas where equipment will be installed
    • Ensure power is available and, for Wi-Fi or app-connected systems, have your internet details ready
    • Obtain any approvals you need — for example landlord, strata, body corporate or council approval for externally mounted equipment
    • Tell us about known hazards such as asbestos, difficult roof access or aggressive pets before we arrive
    • Ensure an adult decision-maker is on site (or contactable) during the installation
  5. 05Installation and workmanship

All installations are carried out by licensed technicians. Our NSW work is performed under the security industry licensing scheme administered by NSW Police (SLED), and our SA work under the licensing requirements of Consumer and Business Services (CBS) South Australia.

We install to manufacturer specifications and applicable Australian Standards, cable neatly, and leave the work area clean. We will walk you through the system and the viewing app before we leave.

  6. 06Service warranty

Every installation includes our 12-month workmanship warranty. If a fault in our installation work shows up within 12 months of the completion date, we will come back and fix it at no charge. This covers our NSW and SA service areas.

Equipment faults are covered separately by the manufacturer's warranty — typically two to three years depending on the brand. If a camera or recorder fails under normal use, we will help you lodge the manufacturer claim and handle the replacement.

    Our workmanship warranty covers:

    • Faults in cabling, connections, mounting or configuration performed by our technicians
    • Call-out and labour to diagnose and repair a covered workmanship fault
    • Re-configuration needed because of a fault in our original setup
  7. 07What the warranty does not cover

To make a warranty claim, call 02 40 033 972 or email support@aussiecctvcams.com with your name, site address and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within two business days and will book the earliest available technician visit in your area.

    • Physical damage, vandalism, storm or lightning damage, or power surges
    • Misuse, neglect, or modification or repair attempts by anyone other than us
    • Problems caused by your internet connection, router, ISP or power supply
    • Consumables such as batteries, and normal wear and tear
    • Issues caused by changes you make to the property after installation (for example renovations that cut or move cabling)
  8. 08Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law — including that services will be provided with due care and skill and will be fit for the purpose you told us about. If we fail to meet those guarantees you may be entitled to a remedy; for a major failure that can include cancelling the service contract and obtaining a refund, or compensation for the reduction in value. Our service warranty is in addition to — and does not replace — those rights.

  9. 09Using your system lawfully

You are responsible for operating your security system in compliance with the law. Depending on your state and how the system is used, this may include the Surveillance Devices Act 2007 (NSW), the Listening and Surveillance Devices Act 1972 (SA) and, for businesses monitoring employees, the Workplace Surveillance Act 2005 (NSW).

As a general guide: point cameras at your own property, display signage where required, be careful with audio recording (it is restricted in both NSW and SA), and respect your neighbours' reasonable expectation of privacy.

  10. 10Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to re-supplying the services or paying the cost of having them re-supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profits or business interruption. Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

A security system is a deterrent and an evidence-gathering tool, not a guarantee that an incident will be prevented. See our Website Disclaimer for more on this.

  11. 11Website content and intellectual property

The content on this website — including guides, images and branding — belongs to Aussie CCTV Cams Pty Ltd. You may read and share links to it, but you may not reproduce it commercially without our written permission.

  12. 12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales. If you are in South Australia, nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under South Australian law or the Australian Consumer Law.
